This year is going to be great! Opportunities abound for the savvy person who looks for them. I was doing a little research and came across this story by KSN correspondent Matt Horn. In short, more pilot and aircraft mechanic positions will be available over the next 20 years.
I did some further research at Salary.com and found out that the average salary for a Dallas, TX aircraft mechanic is $76,400.00. Lead Mechanics do about $85,000.00 and Aircraft Maintenance Managers $100K+. These numbers will like be higher for those of you who work in New York or LA.
Maybe you have been turning wrenches for a number of years and you would like to make a plan to pursue a Lead Mechanic or Maintenance Manger position. I say go for it! I discuss in my book: “Take Charge of Your Aviation Career” tips and tools to make these dreams a reality. Be sure to buy your copy today. Now available in digital download, paperback and Kindle. I’ll leave you with this saying: “Luck favors the prepared.”
